Hi, it's Jeremy here. I've been in the process of making some changes to make the site look visually better thanks to a friend of mine at my work.
I've also been busy adding some cool new features to make it easier to do things that are regularly requested such as find an event in your area and find a club in your area.
is there any other suggestions for things you'd like to see on this web site?
Once the site looks more professional I am going to start approaching more associations etc. to contribute news, events, and articles etc.

[No Title]
what would be good is regular updates of fixtures, results and tables from all the organisations. This will be good as the organisations find difficulty in doing these simple things themselves.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!!

Adding attachments to news
You can actually attach excel spreadsheets of fixtures and results etc. that leagues usually send by email to any item...e.g. a news item, events item.
In previous versions of this site I did actually have import facilities, but there was just so many formats that leagues stored their data in that it just became too confusing for both ends of the line. That's why I went the attachment route.
If there are any league admins out there...please get in touch so I can add your association and region onto the list to filter purely by your news.

New mapping system
The new mapping system is up there! Only two events on there at the minute, one being my birthday! So if you've got an event, please let me know or register and add it yourself.
I'd like to get some feedback on how easy you find it to submit items so that I can enhance it for the community.

Username rather than full name on posts
Hi Jeremy
Don't know if you're still using this email address but if you get this,
perhaps you could consider the following:
Many players don't particularly want their full names used and so use a
nickname. Personally, I think this is far preferable to 'anonymous' which
is the alternative (and used in 95% of entries so far in your new site).
When a player (or anyone else) registers, I think they assume that the
username is what will come up under their entry - not their full name.
Is their any way that the username could be added to entries rather than the
full real name as happens on most other websites?
By the way, the new site is very good and a vast improvement on the last
one.
Regards
JMV

Re: Username rather than full name on posts
I can see where you are coming from with this. The biggest problem I've had right from the start is actually moderating the posts after closing the forum to direct publishing which caused all sorts of problems!
I can understand that the players don't want their full names used, but this then allows them to post comments againsts nick names that they might not take as seriously. I really don't want the forums to become a place where players can slam other players and cause all sorts of problems. I'd rather the forums be used for constructive debates and advice and therefore I really can't see a problem with people posting against their real name.
If they do want to post without their full names they can still post anonymously and sign off at the bottom. Afterall, there is no meaning to anyone else apart from theirselves (and a small group) about their nick name...that's why I posted their full names on there.
Again thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like the new look!

Make site usable with non-IE browsers
When I try to use this site with mozilla, every time I access a thread on the forum it puts 6 entries in my history for the same page, which makes the back button unusable.

Trouble logging in
Hi Jeremy,
I'm having trouble logging in at the moment, I made an account with your old style site, but since the site has changed its coming up with a SQL error page when I try to log in.
I could always make a new account with a new nickname, but before I do that have you got any suggetions?
" Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Cannot find table 0. "
Also, I am having trouble viewing the maps - when I open the page a message box pops up saying it cannot open the page and it then reverts to a cannot display page.
I know these features are still being worked on so its not a complaint, just a heads up on whats happening when i use these features....
Cheers,
Dan Clarkson
